Art Exhibits on Display April 11–May 6, 2022
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) welcomes its annual student art exhibition, which will be on display from April 11 through May 6 in all Dandini Campus Galleries. An artist reception and awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 13 from 5–7 p.m. in the TMCC Main Art Gallery.
The Student Art and Design Exhibition showcases work in numerous forms of media created by current TMCC students and offer the public a chance to view their expansive talent and creativity. Featuring nearly 200 works that range from decorative to highly conceptual, visitors are sure to be enthralled by the diversity of methods and ideas explored by the works presented.
Vivian Zavataro Will Select Exhibition Entries for Awards
The juror, Vivian Zavataro, will give a special presentation at on her curatorial practice and ideas of museology. Zavataro is an accomplished museum practitioner who has published numerous written articles in addition to participating in symposia, leading workshops and currently serves as the Director of the John and Geraldine Lilly Museum of Art. The award ceremony will follow the talk by Zavataro. Refreshments will be served, and the reception is free and open to the public.
Awards for the Student Art & Design Exhibition are funded by TMCC Art Galleries and Nevada Fine Arts.
