Applied Industrial Technologies
Diesel
Diesel technicians maintain and repair over-the-road semi tractors and heavy equipment used in long-haul trucking, construction, and mining. The growth of the warehousing and construction industries in northern Nevada has created a significant shortage of qualified diesel technicians in recent years. Designed with the input and support of local industry experts, the TMCC diesel program complies with national certification standards. The one-year certificate of achievement prepares general maintenance technicians for entry-level work, while the associate of applied science degree with an emphasis in diesel technology provides the training necessary to professionally repair both over-the-road and heavy equipment from a variety of vendors.
