The TMCC English as a Second Language (ESL) and English Language Learners (ELL) programs are for students whose first language is not English and who wish to improve their English language skills to allow them to better function in the community and/or to prepare them for academic courses.
TMCC has two excellent ESL programs, both of which can accommodate students at basically any skill level and provide free testing in order to determine placement.
Please contact either program for further guidance on selecting the best program for your needs.
Community ELL (noncredit) For students who wish to learn survival communication skills and job skills to allow them to better function in the community. This is a non-credit, free program. |
College ESL (credit) For students who wish to learn English in preparation for university-level courses or for career advancement. This is a college credit program. |
