Class Schedule

Class Schedule Terminology and Locations

TMCC Class schedules should be used in conjunction with the TMCC catalog which contains course descriptions and degree program information. Students are responsible for being familiar with the regulations and policies contained in the catalog.

TMCC has the following course numbering system:

  • Freshman Courses = 100-199 and 100B-199B
  • Sophomore Courses = 200-299 and 200B-299B
  • Community Services Courses = 100C-299C
  • Developmental Courses = 001-099

Transfer course numbers are those numbered higher than 100 with no letter following the number. These are approved for transfer to UNR and UNLV. See your advisor and/or refer to the NSHE Transfer Guide for specific course information.

Section numbers beginning with "D" are daytime classes; those beginning with "N" and are evening courses; those beginning with an "E" are distance education courses.

A call number is the five digit number that identifies each class and is used to register on Web-Reg.

Co-requisites may be required by some self-paced math classes. In this case, you are required to register for the lab section (000L and then the lecture section L01).

Non-published classes are not published in the class schedule. These classes are available for a certain cohort of students. For example, allied health classes that are part of a sequence for students in that program. Other classes may be published but with out a call number (there will be a ***** in the call number). To enroll in one of these classes, you should review the directions in the course detail, which usually involves contacting the department or academic advisement.
