Students transferring to University of Nevada, Reno or University of Nevada, Las Vegas must complete the equivalent of 24 semester credits in baccalaureate level courses with an overall grade point average of at least 2.5. Students transferring to Nevada State College must complete the equivalent of 12 semester credits in baccalaureate level courses with an overall grade point average of at least 2.0. Some majors require a higher grade point average.

Students who plan to transfer to an out-of-state institution should contact the out-of-state college or university’s admissions office to inquire about their transfer process. Most colleges and universities also have detailed websites that list degree requirements.
Silver State Transfer Program
The Silver State Transfer program offers a bridge from the Nevada community colleges to the University of Nevada, Reno. Students will have the opportunity to work with advising specialists from both the community college and the University to ensure they are reaching their personal goals, timelines and budget in completing a bachelor's degree.
