Mandatory Training for Employees
TMCC requires its employees to receive mandatory training regarding:
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Active Shooter: How to Respond
- Harassment and Discrimination Prevention
- Cybersecurity Training
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Supervisors of Classified employees are required to complete additional training. See Training for Supervisors of Classified Employees.
FERPA (Family Educational Records and Privacy Act) Training
All TMCC employees, including full-time, part-time, and letter of appointment employees having access to student information, must have one-time training in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as Amended (FERPA), according to TMCC policies and nationally recommended best practices. Training should be repeated every two years.

Active Shooter: How to Respond Safety Training
All TMCC employees, including full-time, part-time, letter of appointment and student employees, are required to have one-time Active Shooter: How to Respond safety training by directive of TMCC's President's Cabinet.
