Accreditation is a formal verification by a third party that TMCC provides students a quality education. The College is accredited on a 7-year cycle by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) according to two Standards. Our latest report and upcoming visit by NWCCU evaluators will focus on Standard 1.
In addition to TMCC’s credibility as a quality college, accreditation permits us to offer students federal financial aid and apply for certain federal grants and other funding that we can use towards student success. It is also a way for TMCC to set goals for continuous improvement.
