Thank you for your interest in the Bachelor of Architecture Program at TMCC. We are here to help answer any questions you may have in considering architecture as your career as well as appropriate next steps for your education.

The Bachelor of Architecture is a National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB) Program in candidacy constituting 150 credits and 5 years of study. It is the minimum degree for architecture licensure in the State of Nevada and the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB). The program is subdivided into two parts: lower division (Years 1 and 2) and upper division (Years 3, 4, and 5).

Because of our structure, we require that existing students apply for upper division status upon completion of 1st and 2nd-year coursework.

Steps to Apply

  1. Apply to the College
    Complete a TMCC Application for Admission and view important dates and deadlines. If you have questions, contact the Admissions and Records Office.
  2. Enroll in Your Courses
    Once you have been accepted for admission to TMCC, you are welcome to enroll in open lower-division courses aligned with your year of study. Please see the recommended course schedule for the Bachelor of Architecture in the TMCC Course Catalog for sequence. Please note that odd-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during Fall terms, whereas even-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during Spring terms.

  1. Complete the Bachelor of Architecture Program Application
    At the end of your second year, please complete and submit our online application. Our application portal will open on May 1 and close at 5 p.m. on July 1 of every year. Late applications will not be accepted for admittance. Admittance to the BArch program is for the Fall Semester only. No Spring admittance will be granted. The application will ask for the uploading of your degree audit report. The minimum requirements for admittance will be the student’s completion of all coursework in years 1 and 2 as well as a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. In no case will a student be admitted to 3rd year without prior successful completion of all 1st and 2nd year coursework. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be accepted into the Bachelor of Architecture Program. The TMCC Admissions and Records Office will update your identified major to Bachelor of Architecture.
  2. Enroll in Your Courses
    Once you have been accepted for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture as a 3rd year student, you are welcome to enroll in Fall 3rd year courses. Please see the Bachelor of Architecture recommended course schedule in the TMCC Course Catalog for sequence. Please note that odd-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during Fall terms, whereas even-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during the Spring terms.Students should follow the course sequence and not jump around in the course offerings, many courses in their corresponding years are designed to work together.

  2. Inquire About the Bachelor of Architecture Program Transfer
    Please contact us about your transfer. Since transfer students are evaluated individually, admittance to coursework could be granted in either Fall or Spring Semesters.
  3. Enroll in Your Courses
    Once you have been accepted for admission, you are welcome to enroll in available courses. Please see the Bachelor of Architecture recommended course schedule in the TMCC Course Catalog for sequence. Please note that odd-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during Fall terms, whereas even-numbered semester AAD, AAE, and ABS courses are only offered during the Spring terms.
