Getting Ahead
The Getting Ahead Program is a 16-week workshop for students who may not have all of the financial and support resources they need to be successful. The program meets once a week to discuss issues and strategies such as gaining stability, understanding what others expect of you, learning about the available resources in our community and more, to get ahead in college, work and life. Food and stipends (money) are included for qualified participants.
Eligibility:
- Enrolled at TMCC in at least six credits for the semester.
- Times vary depending on semester.
- Applied for the 2019-2020 FAFSA with an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of 0.
- Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Monetary Compensation:
Students who successfully complete the 16-week program will be paid $10 per hour in a stipend. Workshops are two hours a week, totaling 32 hours, for a $320 scholarship.
