Description

This course is the third year course for individuals in the building trades' Carpenter apprenticeship program. This course is taken twice in the second year. Stair building -- layout and construction of stairways and the study of problems attendant to headroom and well openings. Heavy timber and concrete construction -- pre-cast, pre-stressed and post-stressed. Cabinetmaking -- materials, hardware, joints, fasteners, machine processes and installation. Advanced blueprint reading and sketching.
