Description
This course prepares the student to understand and be able to integrate the principles of pathophysiological pharmacology and the assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implement a pharmacologic management plan for patients in the prehospital environment. The course also introduces the paramedic student to venous access, IV therapy, medication administration and drug calculations that will be used in treating patients in the prehospital environment. This course satisfies 16 embedded hours toward specified programs and certificates for AAS Math/Quantitative Reasoning General Education requirements.
