About Supervised Practice Internships
In order to graduate, all TMCC Dietetic Technician students are required to complete three Supervised Practice Internship rotations (NUTR 291, 292 and 293)—150 hours each—for a total of 450 hours.
Internship sites are arranged by the Program Director and registration in the courses requires permission (see Supervised Practice Site Placement Policy).
Supervised Practice Site Checklist
Prior to starting the TMCC Dietetic Technician Supervised Practice Internship, copies of the following must be on file with the Program Director. Dietetic Tech Program students will be required to give proof of evidence of vaccinations and will be required to take tuberculosis (TB) tests. Background checks and fingerprints may be required by specific training sites.
- Online application to the program
- Code of conduct signature page (provided by Program Director)
- Supervised Practice Internship Ethics for the Practice of Dietetics Evaluation form (CNDT 2.1 signifying completion of the didactic portion of the Academy Code of Ethics)
- Vaccination records
- TB test
- Proof of medical insurance
- Background check and fingerprints (if required by specific training sites)
