All containers used to accumulate hazardous waste or universal waste must have a completed label.
Free labels are available at the EHS Office. You may also download labels here. Be sure to fill out all of the following sections:
- Chemical Composition: Write out the full chemical name of each chemical in the container. Include percentages of each, including water if applicable. Make sure the percentages add up to 100%. Do not use chemical structures and abbreviations.
- Hazards: Check any hazards that apply, using your knowledge of the chemical and/or a Safety Data Sheet(SDS).
- Waste Generator Information: Write your name, contact information, location and date.
