The Nevada Promise deadline to submit a 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is May 1, 2024.
Due to delays in the federal government sending the 2024–25 FAFSA to colleges across the country, TMCC’s Nevada Promise Program would like to offer you the opportunity to expedite your Nevada Promise application and/or continued eligibility.
Submitting the optional form below will inform the TMCC Nevada Promise team that you have completed the 2024–25 FAFSA, with supporting evidence, allowing us to process this aspect of your application.
To complete this form, you must have already completed the 2024-25 FAFSA, sent the FAFSA to Truckee Meadows Community College (school code: 010363), confirmed that your Social Security Number is present and correct on MyTMCC under the My Demographics section, and provide a screenshot from your confirmation email from Federal Student Aid, or the FAFSA website landing page.
Your screenshot must be captured using the same device you are actively using. Please do not take a picture of your computer monitor with your smartphone; use the built-in screenshot software of your operating system.
- Windows keyboard shortcut: hold the Windows and Shift keys, then press S
- Macintosh keyboard shortcut: hold the Command and Shift keys, then press 4
- Android: press Power + Volume Down buttons at the same time
- If this does not work, try Power + Volume Up
- You may have to hold down the keys for a few seconds
- Your phone manufacturer may have another method as well
- Example: Motorola phones can sometimes take screenshots with a three finger press on the phone screen
- iPhone: quickly press the side and the Volume Up button at the same time, then tap on the thumbnail that is created
- If you have a Home button, then quickly press the side/top and Home button at the same time, then tap on the thumbnail that is created
The following items must be visible in the screenshot:
- Your Name
- The 2024–25 FAFSA directly mentioned
- The date of your FAFSA submission
Here is an example screenshot after you have logged into the FAFSA webpage (note the red rectangles):
Additionally, your Social Security Number must NOT be in your screenshot. This is for your personal security.
Remember, your FAFSA must be completed and submitted on or before May 1, and you are responsible for confirming that your financial aid file is complete with the Financial Aid department by July 1.
