Those returning the card with five stamps can trade it in for a prize – Transfer Center USB drives on lanyards are available while supplies last.

Western Governor’s University (WGU)
Western Governor’s University (WGU) is a nonprofit online university that was launched in 1996 with the help of 19 state governors who sought to create an innovative competency-based teaching and learning model. The college is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and is accredited by Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the same body that accredits TMCC, UNR and UNLV.
“It is a college that fits well into the schedule of working adults – you can test out of classes that you already have experience with,” Miller said. “It is a set tuition per semester, no matter how many credits you take. The classes are self-paced, you can complete a class in a few weeks and then take another class, or stretch out a class based on your schedule. It’s a more affordable online option, especially if you have work experience.”
WGU is comprised of four colleges: the online Teachers College, College of Business, College of Information Technology and College of Health Professions.
Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising
The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) is unable to attend Transfer Day this year, but is hosting a free Fall Open House on Saturday, Nov. 14 at each of their four campuses, complete with tours and interaction with current students and college advisors. Campus locations include San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County. For more information, to RSVP and find directions to one of the Open House sites, please visit their event page.
