Robert and June Sebo recently established the Robert and June Sebo Annual Scholarship with the TMCC Foundation to benefit students who are pursuing a program in any area where the primary goal is immediate employment upon graduation (i.e. nursing, manufacturing, welding, etc.) with a 3.0 GPA and are enrolled in at least nine credits.
The Sebo’s have a heart for philanthropy. Last December, they reached out to the TMCC Foundation to pursue their goal of assisting students with the resources needed to attend college and obtain an education. Their ultimate goal is to help students be prepared to go to work and provide for their families.
This spring, Bob and June donated $10,000 to provide seven TMCC students with full tuition and fees, as well as a book stipend for the spring 2016 semester. The scholarship is awarded to students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, are enrolled in nine or more credits and who are working toward a certificate or a degree (in lieu of transferring).
Moving forward, the Sebo’s will award ten new students scholarships for the 2016-17, which will be renewable for the 2017-18 academic year as long as they continue to meet the criteria, in addition to ten new students for 2017-18.
Mr. Sebo recently expressed his delight with providing scholarships at TMCC and said, “We are thrilled to be able to help students fulfill their educational goals and help them become self-sustaining citizens. TMCC is a great institution and we are delighted to be able to establish the Robert and June Sebo Annual Scholarship.”
Thank you Bob and June for your generous contribution to TMCC and our students!
