Truckee Meadows Community College alumni are making a difference in their communities, inspiring creativity, innovation and bold ideas as they pursue their higher education or career paths. Since 1998, TMCC has recognized and honored an outstanding alumna/alumnus at the College’s commencement ceremony. From city government, to hospitals, and even Hollywood, TMCC’s past Alumni of the Year award recipients continue to positively impact their communities, reflecting the strength and diversity of a TMCC education.
With plans already underway for commencement, it is time to submit nominations for 2018 Alumni of the Year.
The TMCC Foundation and Alumni Association invite you to help the College with this important process by nominating an alumna or alumnus who has made a difference in their community since attending TMCC.
This year’s ceremony will be held on Friday, May 11 at 4:30 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Nominations may be submitted online, and are due by Friday, March 23. The nominee does not have to be currently living in the Reno-Sparks, or Lake Tahoe region, but will be invited to attend commencement as a distinguished guest.
As you consider your nomination, please remember the nomination criteria that includes the purpose and guidelines for the award.
