New Student Services presents the 2018 Student Success Fair on Tuesday, September 11 from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Student Center on the Dandini Campus.
Students are invited to meet with staff and faculty, who will have booths set up with information about their departments as well as fun games. There will be approximately 50 tables set up at the Student Success Fair.
Helen Scott in New Student Services helps facilitate the Success Fair each year. Her goal is the make sure students are having fun at the event while at the same time meeting with staff and faculty and learning about the different departments.
“It’s a really wonderful opportunity for students to be able to come down and mingle with faculty and staff on campus,” Scott said. “Students can learn about the different resources available at TMCC, and even win some cool prizes.”
This year’s Success Fair theme is Superheroes, and participants are invited to dress in costume for a chance to win prizes. A raffle will be held for back-to-school gift baskets, and two free 3-credit TMCC classes will be awarded. The ticket drawing will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Interactive games like Giant Jenga and Pie Face will be at the event. Students can come and go at any time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and collect raffle tickets from each table as they meet with the different departments.
