The session will include specific strategies related to race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, gender expression, gender identity, and the intersectionality of these identities. This workshop will go over using Canvas Conferences. You will learn how to create a conference, how to share a link to invite outside users, and how to enable recording. You will also learn how to create breakout rooms. This is a great tool if you wish to host synchronous lectures/conferences during the fall and summer terms.

Tips & Tricks to Online Course Design: Increasing Interactivity and Student Engagement
This workshop will explore how to add interactivity to your online course, and ways to get creative with approaches to keeping students engaged. The workshop will address the importance of interaction that supports active learning, as well as, clearly stating expectations for learner and instructor interaction. And, of course, the workshop will share tips on how to get creative with learning activities and designing engaging online content.
The facilitator will contact registrants with access information. This workshop is two weeks in length, from May 22–June 5, 2020 and fully online. A $150 stipend will be issued upon successful completion. Please register by May 20, 2020.
Using Google Documents and Google Sheets in Canvas
Sharing a Google doc or sheet with your students in Canvas is possible and allows you to make changes during the semester easily. This is especially handy if you need to alter lab times or group meetings during the course. This remote training will show you how to create a Google doc, make changes, and share it for viewing in your Canvas class.
