Lab Fee: $10. Must be at least 18 years old and have taken or are currently taking MASG 201, or demonstrate proof of previous massage training or are an LMT to register for this class. Bring a set of twin sheets and massage oil to class. Wear comfortable clothing. This is an intensive 2-day class; students must attend both sessions to pass the class. In the event of public health restrictions or other emergencies, classes may need to be changed to Web-Live, Web, or Hybrid instruction modes. Students will be notified by instructors and/or academic departments of any required changes.

Description
Learn facilitated stretching techniques and muscle energy techniques (MET), including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), which is used for the rehabilitation of neurologic and soft tissue disorders. Explore ways to incorporate these techniques into massage to help counteract muscle hypertonicity and spasms, improve flexibility and range of motion, and restore muscle strength.
