Online Course Fee: $15. Lab Fee: $20. Course includes mandatory weekly labs. The lectures are WEB-LIVE and offered synchronously on Wednesdays at the times listed in the schedule. There are mandatory weekly, in-person labs on Mondays and lectures for lab days are web-asynchronous. Students must log into Canvas on the first day of class, at the time on the schedule, or risk being dropped for non-attendance. In the event of public health restrictions or other emergencies, classes may need to be changed to Web-Live, Web, or Hybrid instruction modes. Description
A first semester general chemistry course which focuses on the chemical principles of atomic structure, electron configurations, inorganic nomenclature, stoichiometry, reactions in aqueous solutions, thermochemistry, gas laws, and Lewis structures. Course includes a weekly lab.

Prerequisite: MATH 120, MATH 124, MATH 126 or qualifying ACCUPLACER, SAT or ACT scores AND Completion of ENG 101 or equivalent or qualifying ACCUPLACER, SAT or ACT scores.
