Lab Fee: $80. This class is scheduled to meet face-to-face. Open Entry/Closed Exit lab. Students taking WELD 241-8001 must also enroll in WELD 242-8001. Lab open Mon.-Fri. 1:30-9 p.m. in EDSN 150. Students must enroll by 10/7/2023 and complete all coursework by 12/9/2023. Additional costs up to $150 for protective clothing and equipment may be required. In the event of public health restrictions or other emergencies, classes may need to be changed to Web-Live, Web, or Hybrid instruction modes. Students will be notified by instructors and/or academic departments of any required changes.

Description
This course is a continuation of WELD 231 and places an emphasis on the GTAW process in all positions on ferrous and nonferrous materials. This course also covers the advanced FCAW process and concentrates on the skills needed to pass the AWS certification test in all positions using the FCAW process. The Student at this level of training may opt to develop skills in the welding of pipe using the SMAW or FCAW processes.
