This course defines the roles and responsibilities of the paramedic and the importance of scene safety, stress management, and wellness when practicing in the field. The course also provides information on injury prevention and the use of protective equipment needed to protect the paramedic in the field. It will provide the student with an understanding of the medical-legal and ethical issues, which will affect them in their career. Students will also develop communication and documentation skills necessary to perform their duties.
