An introductory cell and molecular biology course covering basics of inorganic chemistry, water, pH, biological macromolecules, cell structure, membrane physiology, cell signaling, metabolism, cell division, heredity, gene expression, and gene regulation. An introductory course examining evolution and adaptation in organisms. Topics surveyed will introduce basic principles of neuroscience, including: the divisions of the human nervous system, the cells of the nervous system and neural function.
