The Biology and Public Health (formerly Community Health Science) Department offers a wide variety of courses for first and second-year college students, and all of our courses transfer for university credit.
Whether you’re preparing for a career in healthcare, teaching, research, public health, wildlife biology, or dozens of other careers, our department has the courses you’ll need to get started. We also offer research and laboratory opportunities that will give you a head start and help you stand out. Our class sizes are small, so you can get the personal attention you need to succeed at an affordable price.
We offer three programs: an Associate Degree in Biology, an Associate Degree in Public Health with three different tracks and an Associate Degree in Agricultural Science with two different tracks. Students can also earn a skills certificate in Wildlife Technician while getting a degree in biology and a Certificate of Achievement in Health Science while getting a degree in Public Health. We also offer a course in Agriculture Science (AGSC 100).
