CANCELED: Vietnam War Veterans Remembrance Day Ceremony and All Veterans Appreciation Concert

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #989, Reno, in partnership with Truckee Meadows Community College, will be hosting the Vietnam War Veterans Remembrance Day Ceremony and All Veterans Appreciation Concert.
Our featured guest speaker is Brigadier General Michael Hanifan, ATAG Nevada Army National Guard, US Army Intel COE.
The concert is performed by the 191st Army Band, ”Band of the Wild West”, US Army 63 RSC under the leadership of Major Joshua Henry.
BG Hanifan will be joined by veterans from Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan war, telling their personal stories. A wreath-laying ceremony will start the program with full military honors to follow. There will be outreach tables from various Veteran agencies, including the Veterans Administration (VA), the Nevada Department of Veteran Services (NDVS) and Disabled American Veterans (DAV), providing information to our veterans and the public.
We will also honor our WWII Veterans, among them 100 year old Dorothy Howard, and many more.
We hope you will join us to honor the fallen Nevada Vietnam Veterans as well as all those who paid the ultimate price and those who have served and still serve today.
The event is free to the public and it is a non-political, non-fundraising event.
