Training for All Employees
Mandatory Training Videos
TMCC requires mandatory training regarding Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Active Shooter: How to Respond.
Supervisory Training
If a TMCC employee is a supervisor or manager of classified employees, they must attend mandatory training within 6 months, 12 months and every 3 years after the initial appointment as a supervisor.
Professional Development
The Professional Development Office formulates, designs, and coordinates staff and faculty professional development and training to support TMCC's strategic goals. Workshops and trainings are designed to provide you with opportunities to expand your knowledge, learn new skills and foster student success. A monthly workshop schedule is posted online.
Environmental Health and Safety
Training is a vital component of maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, and also keeping the campus in compliance with the various laws and statutes we must abide by. These laws are promulgated under the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP), Washoe County Department of Health/Air Quality, the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), as well as other federal, state and local authorities.
