Whether you’re dreaming of a job as a Dental Assistant or racing toward Radiation Therapy, these info nights will help you create a clear roadmap of your journey from student to health professional!
Allied Health Information Workshop
If you’re generally interested in the Health Sciences, but you haven’t narrowed it down to one, you have some opportunities to attend the Allied Health Information Workshop. This event covers everything you will need to know about admissions to Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Veterinary Technician, Pre-Hospital/Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant, and College of Southern Nevada's Surgical Technologist or Radiation Therapy programs. Each session will be held at the Dandini Campus, and the days/times for these information sessions are:
- Thursday, Feb. 21 in RDMT 111, 3–5 p.m.
- Thursday, March 14 in RDMT 111, 9–11 a.m.
- Thursday, April 18 in RDMT 111, 3–5 p.m.
If you can’t attend these Information Workshops, you can schedule an appointment with an academic advisor for a one-on-one session or distance advising if you are currently out of state. For more information about the Allied Health Information Workshops, contact Courtney Hytinen.
Radiation Therapy and Surgical Technologist Info Session, March 13
For students who know that their future rests firmly in the Radiation Therapy or Surgical Technologist fields, the department is hosting an info session on March 13 from 6–8 p.m. in RDMT 256. For more information, contact the Radiation Therapy and Surgical Technologist programs at 775-674-7657.
Certified Nursing Assistant Program Information Nights
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program will host two information nights this semester for students interested in this hands-on and dynamic program. Information sessions will be held at two locations:
- Wednesday, April 17 at Dandini Campus, RDMT 256, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, April 18 at Meadowood Center, North building, room 152, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Nursing Program Information Nights
The Nursing program will host two information nights this semester where prospective students can learn more about the program and ask questions of program staff. These sessions will occur on:
- Tuesday, March 26
- Monday, April 29
These information sessions will be held in HTCR 167, which is located at the Health Science Center. Each session will be held from 5:30–6:45 p.m. For more information, contact the Nursing Program at 775-850-4054.
Dental Assisting Information Nights
Dental Assisting has two information nights scheduled for the Spring Semester:
- Thursday, April 18
- Thursday, May 16

Dental Hygiene, April 10
