Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company is proud to support students at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) by pledging $15,000 for scholarships in Construction Management and Architecture. Over the next five years, this pledge will fund three annual $1,000 scholarships, helping students cover tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
TMCC offers both degree and certificate options in Construction Management and Architecture and Design. Students earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Construction Management learn the skills needed to enter the construction management field in the residential, commercial and heavy construction markets. Skills certificate options are also available for construction estimating and project management.
The Architecture Program offers students several degree pathways including a new, unique 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch). This comprehensive program is designed for students to pursue their licensure as an architect, landscape architect or residential designer. In addition to the BArch, the Architecture Program also offers an Associate of Applied Science in Architecture and Residential Design, Architecture and Construction and an AAS in Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Construction.
The Truckee Tahoe Lumber scholarships come at an excellent time with the growing enrollment in these programs. “We are grateful for this gift and the amazing partnership with Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company. The positive impact of this contribution will make a lasting difference for our students and the community,” commented Gretchen Sawyer, Executive Director of Foundation and Grants.
