President: Hallie Madole
Hallie Madole is an Administrative Assistant 4 in the Tutoring and Learning Center. She joined TMCC in 2006 and has worked in a variety of different student support roles throughout the College. She completed her MA in Counseling and Psychology with an emphasis in College Student Development in 2011, and her MS in Counseling and Psychology with an emphasis in Information Technology in Education in 2013. She’s been a part-time instructor at TMCC for 12 years. In her free time, she volunteers and supports the Reno Rodeo Association and is always happy to go watch a baseball game in San Francisco.
Classified Council President Duties: The TMCC Classified Council president will preside at all Classified Council meetings, call special meetings as they see necessary, serve as an ex-officio member of all committees, undertake all duties specifically or implied that are required of the office and represent Classified Council at all College functions or send a representative as necessary.
Vice President: Jennie Allan
Jennie Allan is a Library Technician 1 in the Elizabeth Sturm Library. Ever since she was a child, she has always enjoyed reading a good book! With over 5 years of Library Experience, she has been with TMCC since January 2020. Jennie is always ready to serve Students, Faculty, and the Community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, exploring new places, and watching her boys and dog swim in Lake Tahoe.
Classified Council Vice President Duties: The TMCC Classified Council vice president will serve one year and assist the president in the performance of their duties, act in place of the president in their absence, update area representation list and monitor attendance at classified meetings and be responsible for administering the Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year programs.
Secretary: Jen Friend
Jen is Administrative Assistant 3 and has been with TMCC for two years. She started at Edison, then HSC and is currently in Math. Jen started her career with TMCC as a student. She was a student worker in Admissions and Records in International dept. Then she graduated from TMCC in 2012 with an AA in Administrative Professional. For fun, she loves the outdoors, the sun, the water and of course grilling!
Classified Council Secretary Duties: The TMCC Classified Council secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all regular and special Classified Council meetings, keep a copy of all formal reports of the Classified Council officers and committees, maintain the official file of the Classified Council, and post minutes, agendas and notifications of meetings prior to the next meeting date.
Treasurer: Ana Lidia Ferreira
Ana Lidia is a Library Technician 1 in the Elizabeth Sturm Library. She joined the TMCC team in 2001 and has worked at the satellite library branches. She has a BA from UNR and plans to continue her education and get her MA in World Languages and Literature. She loves to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, listening to music, cooking, and crocheting. Ana Lidia served as treasurer in other institutions, including the union for state employees. She is excited to represent the Classified staff.
Classified Council Treasurer Duties: The TMCC Classified Council treasurer is responsible for all funds as per the treasurer's guidelines, maintaining an acceptable set of records showing all transactions, and rendering a current financial statement of the Classified Council at each business meeting and at such other times as the president may direct.
Hospitality Officer: Shari Mathiesen
Shari Mathiesen is an NSHE Specialist 1 in the Admissions and Records office. She transferred to TMCC from Great Basin College in 2006. In addition to Admissions and Records, she previously worked in the Financial Aid Department. Shari earned her Associate of Arts Degree from Great Basin College in 2002 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative and Professional Studies in 2005. Shari is excited to serve on the Classified Council Board for the first time.
Classified Council Hospitality Officer Duties: The TMCC Classified Council hospitality officer shall send flowers, plants, or cards to the TMCC staff and faculty as per the hospitality office's guidelines, keep a record of activities for reporting procedures, and order employee recognition plaques and trophies.
TMCC NCC Representative: Arkaitz Aldecoaotalora
Arkaitz Aldecoaotalora-Muniosguren works in Admissions and Records as an NSHE Specialist 1 for the past 17 years. He began working for TMCC in 2007. Arkaitz earned an Associate of Arts degree from TMCC and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and European Studies from the University of Nevada. For fun Arkaitz enjoys traveling, playing golf, and attending sporting events with close family and friends.
TMCC NCC Representative Duties: The TMCC NCC representative will attend monthly meetings held by the NSHE Classified Council, give a report at TMCC's monthly open meetings, attend monthly meetings with the executive board, and assist other board members as necessary.
