Purpose
The TMCC Facilities and Auxiliary Services Committee (FASC) is a subcomittee of the TMCC Planning Council, established to support the strategic goals of the College by focusing on the planning, maintenance, and enhancement of campus facilities and auxiliary services. The committee will ensure that campus facilities are developed and maintained to provide a safe, sustainable, and functional environment conducive to teaching, learning, and community engagement. The committee will also cover affairs of auxiliary services to include Café Verde, Coffee Bar, Mailroom, Vending, Lizard Book Nook, Campus Transportation, and other operational services that support the overall campus experience.
Objectives
- Strategic Facilities Planning: Align campus development and maintenance efforts with the College’s strategic goals and long-term master plan. This includes recommendations, conversations, and updates on capital improvements, renovations, and new construction projects.
- Sustainability and Conservation Initiatives: Promote sustainable practices in facilities management and auxiliary services. This includes energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation, ensuring the College meets its environmental stewardship goals.
- Campus Safety and Accessibility: Ensure that all facilities adhere to safety regulations, are well-maintained, and accessible to all members of the campus community, including individuals with disabilities.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize the performance of services to ensure they efficiently and effectively meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Facilities Departments, auxiliary services providers, and the College community to ensure transparency in decision-making and to address concerns related to campus facilities and services.
