Science is the gateway to understanding our world. Courses in the Physical Sciences are designed to introduce you to how scientists think about the world and provide even non-science majors with the fundamentals for lifelong learning and responsible decision making.
The Physical Sciences department offers general education courses in astronomy, chemistry, environmental science, geography, geology, and physics. These courses satisfy the general education requirements for both AA and AS degrees. Our department also offers AS degrees in chemistry, computer science, data science, environmental science, engineering, and geosciences.
In our courses, you will have the opportunity to learn from highly qualified faculty who bring their field experience and enthusiasm for their subjects into the classroom. Our classes are limited to 32 or fewer students with both lecture and lab being taught by the same instructor so that students receive one-on-one attention from the instructor.
All our courses transfer to universities and support a wide range of programs and degrees at TMCC.
